Beyond the hundreds of materials we already offer, we source on request for our clients. Whenever a project calls for something specific, our network across Italy lets us find it at the source, working directly with workshops, producers and quarries, and manage it through to the project.
Stone Selection
For marble and stone, we can handle the selection up to the quarry, allowing our clients to handpick every single slab for their project. Architects, designers and their clients can be involved in the selection, either in person or by reviewing the material before it is cut.
Full control of the process
Managing the whole process directly lets us ensure consistent quality and gives our clients a level of oversight that goes well beyond ordering from other suppliers.

Where does Cappelli Trading source its marble and stone?

Directly from Italy's quarries and historic workshops, including Carrara for marble and Tivoli and Rapolano for travertine.
Can I choose my own slab?

Yes. We select the blocks and individual slabs at the quarry, and when a project calls for it you choose them with us, on site or through detailed photos and video, before anything is cut.
Why does it matter to select the material in person?

No two blocks of marble or stone are alike. Choosing the slab at the source means the vein, tone and character are right for the project before cutting begins.
Do you handle import, customs and shipping from Italy?

Yes. From selection in Italy through cutting and finishing, customs, white-glove shipping and installation on site, the whole journey is managed by one partner.
